Shameless Camera Phone Photos

I have no shame when it comes to snapping pics of my food. I was eating out by myself the other day and of course snapped a quick photo of my food before I tucked in. A friendly local leant over to me and laughed “I thought only Asian’s took photos of their food.” No way, this ang mo has been photographing her food for a long time. If you were to pick up my phone and scroll through the photos, you would mostly find pictures of my cat, selfies (where I am clearly looking at the camera screen instead of the lens) and of course food. Lots and lots of food!

So today, a light-on-words, picture heavy post, of shameless camera phone photos.

All camera phone photos of course and all of food cooked by me.

Almond Crusted Calamari with Radish and Cauliflower Warm Salad.

My attempt at home made Ginger Kisses. They weren’t the same as shop bought but they did taste amazing

Laksa. I haven’t yet found the perfect recipe for home made laksa paste. Until I do, I will happily continue to make it with shop bought paste.

Hi! I’m Taryn. The Wooden Spoons is a food blog and collection of wooden spoons, recipes and stories. I’m a Canberra fan-girl with a passion for all things food. I love South East Asian food, fusion food done well and slow cooked anything. I don’t get quinoa, have a mild phobia of milk touching my skin and custard from a package freaks me out. Thanks for joining me on my cooking and food adventures.
