Playground With a View and Canberra Sunsets

A while ago now, we walked up to a hillside playground nearby where we live, so that Key could take some sunset photos. You can see one of them in this post.

We enjoyed the afternoon walk in the crisp Canberra Autumn so much, that a few weeks later we climbed a steep hill that we drive past almost every day. Here are just some of the pics that we took. All of the sunset pics are taken by Key.

This is a playground with a view! You can see Telstra Tower.

I was colour coordinated to the play equipment.

Long, afternoon shadows.

I love the lens flares in this pic.

This is the second hill that we climbed. It doesn’t look that steep from here, but trust me, it was.

Some Canberrans may recognise this view if they drive along Horse park Drive often. That tiny little black dot parked on the right is our car.

The tree at the top of the hill. It looked like it had been struck by lightning.

If you know where to look, you can see both Parliament House (pretty much right in the middle of the pic) and Telstra Tower in this pic.

Clouds and accidental lens flares. So purdy.

Hi! I’m Taryn. The Wooden Spoons is a food blog and collection of wooden spoons, recipes and stories. I’m a Canberra fan-girl with a passion for all things food. I love South East Asian food, fusion food done well and slow cooked anything. I don’t get quinoa, have a mild phobia of milk touching my skin and custard from a package freaks me out. Thanks for joining me on my cooking and food adventures.
